🍄 My Story

I’m a hobby mycologist with a deep love for fungi and a growing curiosity for the science behind cultivation. What started as a personal journey to learn and experiment has grown into a mission: to share that knowledge and provide high-quality, sustainable mushroom cultures and supplies.

Through content creation, research, and hands-on experience, I’ve developed my own small-batch genetics program focused on vigorous growth and long-term success. Every product I offer, from reusable silicone grow bags to contaminant-tested liquid cultures, is crafted with home and commercial cultivators in mind.

I’m passionate about reducing waste in mycology, and I’m proud to run a low-impact operation focused on reuse and renewal.

Why Sustainability?

At The Fungi Foundry, sustainability isn't just a goal — it's a core value that guides everything we do. As a hobby mycologist, I’ve always been fascinated by the way fungi interact with their environments, so I felt a responsibility to apply those same principles to my business.

By reducing plastic waste and focusing on reusable materials like silicone bags, I’m not only cutting down on single-use plastics, but I’m also protecting my cultures and ensuring the healthiest possible conditions for growth.

Fungi are incredible bioremediators, and while they play an essential role in breaking down toxins in nature, I want to eliminate any chance of those toxins being introduced to my cultures through direct contact with plastics during their growth. It’s all about keeping the cultivation environment clean and sustainable, while reducing unnecessary waste.

I’m committed to providing high-quality products and an operation that takes care of the environment, one culture at a time.
